BIOCAL

BIOCAL

Photosynthesis Activator

Due to its CO₂ content, BioCAL, when applied via foliar misting, increases the photosynthetic efficiency of plants, enhances enzyme activity and the immune system, and regulates plant health and productivity. It increases yield and quality in all plants. It supports the formation of young and new shoots.

Product Composition

  • 40% Ca (Calcium)
  • 16% SiO₂

Usage Time

Used in situations where maximum photosynthesis demand is required and when there is a need for calcium supplementation.

It is a foliar fertilizer produced using a nano-technological method called TMA (Tribomechanical Activation). It contains micro-sized particles ranging from 0.1 µm to 2 µm, providing nano-technological activation.

The particles of BioCAL are extremely small (0.1–2 µm), therefore they can be easily absorbed by plants. Inside the leaves, BioCAL particles break down and CO₂ contained within the particles is released. In addition, other nutrients are also liberated. The low CO₂ level in normal air (0.03%) prevents most agricultural production from reaching optimal photosynthesis levels. Under suitable temperature conditions, with sufficient nutrients and water supply, maximum photosynthesis occurs at approximately 0.1% CO₂ level.

PREPARATION OF BIOCAL FOR APPLICATION

  • The temperature of the water used for preparing the BioCAL solution should be close to the plant temperature for better results.
  • Performing fertilization before BioCAL application increases its effectiveness.
  • Late afternoon applications are more effective than other times of the day.
  • The most effective dose range is 2–5 g/L.
  • Preparation: BioCAL is soaked in water and stirred every 5 minutes; application is made after 15–20 minutes.
  • Mixing with chemical pesticides or plant nutrition solutions does not reduce its effectiveness.
  • The plant does not need to be in active growth stage for uptake.
  • Sprayers producing droplets smaller than 1 mm increase effectiveness.
  • BioCAL reduces the need for additional fertilization in treated plants.

BIOCAL APPLICATION ON SEEDS

BioCAL increases germination strength in all types of seeds and enhances resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. For seed treatment, seeds are soaked in water, mixed with BioCAL while moist, and then sown into the seedbed. This process not only improves germination but also protects seeds from bacteria, fungi, and insect attacks.

BIOCAL APPLICATION AGAINST HEAT STRESS

BioCAL increases plant resistance to both heat and cold stress. During hot weather, it eliminates photosynthesis depression and allows maximum photosynthesis throughout the day. It reduces water loss and promotes plant development.

For frost resistance, a 0.5% application (5 g/L) after leaf fall in autumn increases dry matter content in cells, reducing intracellular water levels. It also increases ion concentration, improving resistance to cold and freezing stress.

BIOCAL FOR EARLINESS (EARLY HARVEST)

For early-maturing crops, applications at 15–20 day intervals starting from bud break with a 0.5% dose can advance harvest by approximately 7–10 days. In greenhouse vegetables, grapes, green almonds, and similar crops, this provides a significant market advantage. A single autumn application before leaf fall promotes early bud break. In areas with frost risk, pre-bud-break application improves plant resistance to cold stress.

BIOCAL FOR IMPROVING FRUIT QUALITY

BioCAL increases soluble solids content (Brix) in fruits by approximately 2%, improving fruit size and quality. It enhances firmness, brightness, shelf life, and marketability. It reduces cracking caused by rainfall near harvest and improves fruit structure and density.

It also extends storage life, prevents physiological disorders during storage, and increases both yield and marketable product ratio in all fruit and vegetable crops.

BIOCAL IN OPEN FIELD AND GREENHOUSE VEGETABLE PRODUCTION

Seedling-stage applications of 0.2% solution at 5–10 day intervals improve seedling growth and quality. After transplanting, repeated 0.5% applications at 15–20 day intervals shorten the time to fruiting.

It increases Brix by approximately 2%, improves quality and yield, and enhances marketability. In industrial vegetables, higher Brix improves processing efficiency and final product quality. It also improves taste, aroma, density, and disease resistance while increasing yield per unit area.

BIOCAL FOR REPAIR OF DAMAGED PLANTS

In trees where the canopy is damaged but roots remain alive, a 0.5% application on the trunk helps the plant recover faster. In severely pruned fruit trees and ornamental plants, it promotes rapid regeneration, new shoot formation, and return to productivity.

BIOCAL IN ORNAMENTAL PLANTS AND VINEYARD PROPAGATION

In ornamental plants, grapevines, and fruit species, trunk application at 0.5% helps stimulate young plant growth and recovery. In heavily pruned trees, it accelerates regeneration, supports new shoot development, and promotes productive growth.
